Vera Wang is an extremely talented designer and successful business woman. Her gowns are worn by A-List Celebrities and Brides who cherish her stylish and modern designs along with impeccable attention to detail, so it is not surprising that Kim Kardashian turned to Vera to create her wedding dress. In keeping with Kim’s desire to look like a princess along with her sexy and modern style, Vera created 3 gowns.
The gown worn for the actual ceremony was a full Ball Gown with lace on the bodice and train. It took 10 women 3 weeks just to create the couture bodice of the gown! What is not apparent is the layers and intricate details in the inner construction of the gown that defines it as “Couture”. The gown was a nod to Liz Taylor, Sophia Loren, all out glamour and 50′s voluptuous, elegant Hollywood style. To complete the look, lace was hand pieced to the veil to create a glossimer, fluid and romantic feel.
The 2nd gown created for the 1st dance reflected Kim’s sensual, sophisticated style. The focus was on her body and skin and was very seductive.
The 3rd gown was the fun dress that just screamed “rock out and rock on!!” and reflected Kim’s fun side.
